The Campaign to Elect Victor Hernandez for City Council recently announced that former City Councilwoman Maggie Trejo has agreed to serve as Campaign Treasurer for Victor Hernandez’ campaign.
Victor Hernandez, local attorney and former Lubbock City Councilman, stated, “I am humbled and deeply appreciative of the fact that Mrs. Trejo has agreed to serve as my campaign treasurer. Maggie and her family’s support means the world to me and my family. Together, along with many individuals from across District 1 and the City, we will knock on every door and ask every person for their help and their vote.”
In 1984, Maggie Trejo became the first Hispanic elected official on the Lubbock City Council. Mrs. Trejo was elected three times before resigning to work for Congressman Bill Sarpalius.
