March 20, 2010 marks the seventh anniversary of the invasion of Iraq. After 7 long years and countless of American and Iraqi lives lost, excluding the lives of the men and women from other countries; we are finally seeing a slow withdrawal of American troops.
Has the war been worth it? To this question; there are many answers and personal views. But whatever one's view, it would be safe to assume that nothing about the war worked out the way it was sold to the American people. All the pre war predictions, like Vice President's Cheney, that we would be welcomed as "liberators", never quite materialized.
Perhaps the final answer will only come with the passing of time.
We invite you to watch the Iraq War video we have posted on our home page and for a few minutes ask you to reflect on the lives that have been sacrificed in what we feel was a senseless war.
The saddest part is, that as some Americans remember the date, more Americans will forget; as the situation there has been relegated to the back pages of newspapers; and local and national media will probably only mention the story; only if they run out of commercials to run.
